REWIND project reached its first year of running and held a general meeting on the 27th and 28th of May in Eibar, Basque Country, Spain, hosted at Tekniker’s facilities. Representatives from the 14 consortium partners gathered to discuss the project’s initial achievements in addressing end-of-life treatment solutions for wind turbine blades, with a focus on reuse, repair, and recycling. R-NanoLab’s team is contributing by proposing innovative methods and solutions for sizing short-chopped recycled carbon and glass fibers, improving their quality, and reusing them in new materials. The meeting also featured a tour of the Tekniker facilities, showcasing the Long Fiber Delamination (LFD) process for the fragmentation of composites as a pretreatment for later recycling and valorization processes
