Kickoff of SENSOPAD

Endometriosis affects approximately 10% of women worldwide—around 190 million women—and significantly impacts their quality of life and fertility. But SENSOPAD (Sensing Endometriosis On Portable Auxiliary Devices), is about to change the game! This groundbreaking European project marks a significant shift for women’s health. SENSOPAD will develop two cutting-edge biosensors that empower women to monitor key biomarkers during their menstrual cycle, leading to early detection of endometriosis-giving women the answers they need, when they need them. The kick-off meeting took place on September 18 in Athens, hosted by the project coordinator, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). With 14 partners across Europe, we are harnessing the power of FEMTECH to revolutionize how endometriosis is detected and managed.
