CIRCULess Kick-off Meeting

CIRCULess project kicked off on October 2nd and 3rd at NTNU, adding another project to the lab’s portfolio. The project’s goal is to enhance circularity in the construction and manufacturing industries by reducing Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) and Manufacturing Waste, with a focus on mineral and timber-based material streams. Aligned with the Processes4Planet Partnership, CIRCULess aims to develop new processes for recycling secondary materials from waste without compromising quality, performance, or sustainability.

The project’s core objective is to experiment with circular products and innovative processing techniques to elevate the quality of secondary materials to meet industry standards, improve environmental performance across the value chain, and maximize the use of recycled components. These efforts will be supported by a tailored digital platform to aid decision-making and operational activities. To ensure industry adoption, recommendations for updated standards and relevant training materials will be developed, helping upskill the existing construction workforce and create new specialized roles.
