1st EuReComp Workshop: latest advancements in composites technology

Interested in composites and composites recycling? Are you an expert in this field, an undergraduate or graduate student or simply compelled by composites in general? If so, then look no further because we’ve got what you want-the 1st EuReComp Open Workshop 2023 is here!

EuReComp, a Horizon Europe collaborative research project focused on circularity, set out to provide sustainable methods towards recycling and reuse of composite materials, coming from components used in various industries, such as aeronautics and wind energy. EuReComp is an EC-funded cooperation project, led by Research Lab of Advanced, Composite, Nano Materials & Nanotechnology of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), which started in April 2022 with a duration of four years.

The first EuReComp Workshop will take place on the 20th of April 2023, in Institut für Leichtbau und Kunststofftechnik (ILK), TU Dresden (TUD), Germany, bringing together leading experts in the composites industry to share their knowledge and expertise.

Organized by TUD, KUZ and project coordinators NTUA, the workshop aims to promote the development of innovative composites materials and technologies by facilitating collaboration among industry experts. The event will feature a range of presentations and panel discussions on topics such as new composite manufacturing techniques, emerging materials, and the future of composites in various applications.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the EuReComp e-learning platform, Composite Recycling Technologies, and Solvolysis Technologies within the project. The event will conclude with a round table discussion, providing a forum for exchange of ideas between presenters and audience. Physical participants will also have the chance to attend a guided tour through the Technische Universität Dresden – Institut für Leichtbau und Kunststofftechnik facilities, where they can see a Lightweight Engineering Demonstration and participate in various sessions.

The workshop is open to all composites professionals, including researchers, manufacturers, engineers, and designers. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with their peers, learn from leading experts, and gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in composites technology. The workshop is taking place physically but will also be available online allowing participants to attend virtually.

This is a unique opportunity to network with industry experts and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies in composite recycling. Participation is open to the entire composite’s community free of charge.
