The 42-month meeting of the Horizon 2020 project iClimaBuilt took place in Torino, Italy, on October 17th and 18th, hosted by Politecnico di Torino. Representatives from the 27 partner organizations, including Project Coordinator Professor Charitidis from NTUA, gathered to discuss the current project status and set the work plan for the final year.
During the meeting, R-NanoLab presented the Joint Venture Company within WP2 and the WP7 related to the Open Call of the iClimaBuilt OITB project. The purpose of this open call is to allow companies outside the consortium (Experimentation Teams) to develop or test technologies related to materials for building envelopes, using test cases to bring in their innovations. iClimaBuilt will provide the necessary services through its Services Arena, with each team identifying its knowledge gaps and selecting services aimed at closing them.
The meeting also included a tour of the living lab and indoor and outdoor laboratory facilities owned by POLITO in Torino, where the performance of building envelope components is tested and analyzed. Participants had the opportunity to observe impressive features, such as the double climatic chamber and customizable 3D-printed components.
