Vassilis Markakis is Physicist (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, AUTΗ) that has acquired a master’s degree in Nanosciences & Nanotechnology (AUTΗ). As a member of the Laboratory of Advanced, Composite, Nano Materials & Nanotechnology of NTUA, he is responsible for financial planning of EU funded projects.
His scientific work is in the fields of ethics in nanotechnology research and in dual use research, while in the past he has dealt with the dispersion of minerals into polymeric matrixes, as well with the study of AKT protein expression in healthy and cancer cells.
