Vasiliki Diakou is a graduate of the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Ioannina. In her thesis dissertation, titled “Food Image Classification Using Deep Neural Networks”, she utilized transfer learning techniques in Python. Her experience includes the development of screen-printed electrodes and the synthesis of plastic antibodies through electropolymerization, using electrochemical applications in biosensing. She is currently working with molecular biology techniques such as plasmid cloning and CRISPR-Cas9 applications.
