Dr. Eleni Spyrakou

ETHICS

Dr. Eleni Spyrakou studied Philosophy at the University of Patras (BA, Hons), and she was awarded yearly scholarships by the Hellenic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for her performance. She further studied Philosophy at King’s College London funded with a scholarship by Onassis Foundation, and she was awarded an MPhil in Philosophy focusing on Ethics and Political philosophy. Her PhD (Hons) in Political Philosophy is from the University of Ioannina, funded with a scholarship by the Institution’s Research Committee. 

Her main research interests include applied ethics (research ethics and integrity, ethics of new technologies, bioethics, environmental ethics, business ethics), the ethics-politics relation, and its epistemological and metatheoretical problems, the methodology/ies of social sciences, different versions of the liberalism-republicanism debate. She has presented part of her research work in national/international conferences.
