Eleni Koumlili holds a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering, specializing in Polymer Science and Technology.
She has over 15 years of research and development experience in polymer science, nanotechnology, advanced materials, and green polymers, working on both the technology provider and end user sides of EU and national funded projects.
Her expertise is in the development and production of high-performance polymer dispersions for use in the packaging and electronics industries worldwide, the investigation of nanotechnology techniques for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, the fabrication of carbon-fiber reinforced polymer composites using nanotechnology for aerospace applications, and the modification of products with bio-materials to create green polymers.
As a scientific project manager, she oversaw research projects, using strategic planning and goal setting to direct operations, and assessing industrial feasibility, including economic and environmental impacts.
