Vasiliki Tsotoulidi graduated from the University of Thessaly as a Structural Civil Engineer (M.Eng.), passionate about 3D design and obtained a M.Sc. degree in A.D.E.R.S from the National Technical University of Athens. Also, she has acquired a master’s degree in Computational Mechanics from the National Technical University of Athens. Her main interest lies in the field of Applied and Computational Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Method (F.E.M.), Seismic Pounding, Earthquake Engineering, Software Engineering and Thermal Engineering. Her active participation in European and national R&D projects along with extensive scientific work verifies her specialty in sophisticated finite element techniques and on advanced nonlinear computational algorithms in order to model complicated phenomena and other engineering applications. Also, she has experience in preparing proposals within the framework of research projects. As research engineer acquired professional experience in designing, modeling, simulating, constructing, and testing. In addition, her research is on Material Constitutive Modelling with emphasis on composite materials.
