Nicol Sarla is a psychologist (BA, University of Crete) with an MSc in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). As an MSc student, her main research interest included the relationship between Psychology and Technology, focusing on the role of Psychology in the historical development of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence.
She is a member of the “Laboratory of Digital Studies” at the Department of Sociology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has presented part of her work at national and international conferences and workshops. Her main research interests include research ethics and integrity, ethics of emerging technologies, the social aspects of the production of scientific knowledge and new technologies, science communication, epistemology of social sciences, history and philosophy of science and technology, digital studies.
