R-Nano Lab is in the news!

On the 19th of January, the ERT News channel aired an episode about the Surface Treatment and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Unit (STAMt), as well as the Additive Manufacturing Technologies Lab.

STAMt supports all surface modifications and (composites) manufacturing activities of RNano Lab. Surface modification of fibres (or plastics) and Sizing of CFs are developed initially at lab scale tand for pilot scale. Also, composites manufacturing can be performed through a variety of techniques such as vacuum infusion, vacuum bagging, hot-press, RTM.

The Additive Manufacturing Technologies Lab, addresses the design and fabrication of small-scale objects and components, by employing fused filament fabrication (FFF) tabletop technologies, also supporting multi-material printing of both in-house developed and commercial thermoplastic filaments for rapid prototyping purposes. Finally, the AM Lab addresses the printability evaluation of in-house developed recycled and (nano)composite filaments.

The episode can be found on the ERTFLIX platform.
