Dr. Anastasia Alexandratou is a Mining and Metallurgical Engineer with an M.Sc. in Materials Science and Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Physical Metallurgy of Nickel-based Superalloys and Electron Microscopy from the National Technical University of Athens, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation.
Her research interests include developing novel industrial alloys applied to the aerospace and automotive industry and materials characterization via advanced electron microscopy techniques, focusing on phase transformation and precipitation phenomena. She is experienced in Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, thermal and mechanical treatments of alloys, mechanical testing, and Life Cycle Assessment of materials’ related processes.
